The game Angry Birds is such a cute and time-friendly game. In the much-awaited football league competition of the year, which is none other than the Super Bowl in America, Rovio Mobile, the company that shaped Angry Birds made its way to promote the game in a special and strategic way, dealing both with people who would want to buy the game and of course, for proud owners of the game already.
The said makers of the cute and fun game promoted the game in cooperation with Fox TV, the television arm of the acclaimed American Football League Games. Thus it was called the Angry Birds Super Bowl Ad or the Angry Birds Rio App. The said game had a surprise for the would be and already purchased owners of the highly-praised game, which was to input a special code in the game, and it would then take the player to a special level to enter a contest for the said users of Angry Birds.
Angry Birds Rio is the promotional App released by Rovio Mobile for Super Bowl Fans and of course, the never-ceasing audience of Angry Birds. The reason why it was called as Rio since it has a promotion that a single lucky player is going to take home a trip to Rio de Janeiro, for a red carpet treatment premiere of Rio, which is a movie based on the said game and the release of the special game application itself, which is released on March 22, 2011.
To enter the said contest, a player must input a code from the live coverage of the Super Bowl and thus enter the code to play a special level in the game. It must have Internet Connection presumably, since the entry is based on the user who input the code online. And since this is a first time tie-up with Fox, the channel giants also had a percentage of funding the game and contest.
According to some sources, the 26 to 32 second ad previewed the code, which was to be played in a certain level of the game, most likely in the level 13-12. Once done, the lucky player will have been rewarded with a special football golden egg, since the tie-up is with Super Bowl after all.
So far, the platforms for the special Angry Birds edition will only cover the predecessor platform, Google Android (probably v.2.2 or Froyo, as they call it), the iPod Touch and the better version for the iPad and the acclaimed best smartphone which is none other than the iPhone, of which are products of Apple Computers Inc.
Also, according to an online report, this kind of promotion have never been done since this promo is said to be done with the current game paused, and the ad will be looked at by the audience by a frame-to-frame view of the embedded code for those who wish to participate, but as of this time, representatives from both Rovio and Fox have yet to confirm this.
